About the project
One of the best things about surveying is getting to work all over the UK. Back in July 2022 we were asked to scan approximately 1.5km of roads and pedestrianised streets in Newquay. It was a great opportunity to get everyone down to the coast for a combination of scanning, mini golf and team building.
- Scan control was installed between 2 fixed baselines created with static GPS readings. Traversing down the busy pedestrianised streets in summer was challenging!
- Our registered data was delivered to our client for a 3D visualisation project to show potential development ideas for the town centre through VR headsets.
- Definitely one of our favourite jobs and a great opportunity to get everyone out of the office and down to the coast for some sunshine!
