About the project
In 1998 the practice of dumping sewage sludge at sea was banned. In November of 1998 the incinerator at Crossness became operational, burning the waste sludge. The energy produced by this process was then used to power the whole sewage treatment works. The scope for this project was for the refurbishment and alterations of sewage sludge incinerator.
- Laser scanning was carried out over the 5 internal levels and external facades.
- Individual floors were registered to a network of traversed targets and delivered as RGB point clouds.
- 360° photography was also provided to aid the production of the 3D model from approximately 650 scan positions.
