• We were commissioned to carry out a large scale multi-disciplined survey of the Smithfield site in central Birmingham as part of a £1.9bn regeneration scheme.

• The main element was a topographical survey of the former Wholesale Market site and the surrounding roads, covering an area of approximately 17ha of inner city Birmingham. 

​

• The centre of the site was surveyed traditionally with the surrounding roads scanned for both speed and safety.

​

• We also scanned some of the buildings on site to inform the demolition process including an underground attenuation tank scanned through manholes with the inverted tripod.​
