About the project
The Cathedral Quarter in Belfast is a cultural, historic and vibrant nightlife district in the city centre. Our brief was to scan a large area of it to provide various different elements for a regeneration scheme. After a combination of cars, ferries and planes we had multiple survey teams on site to scan and traverse around the streets and buildings within the scope. It was our first time working in Belfast and we're hoping it won't be the last.
- Full RGB point cloud delivered for 3D visualisations of the Cathedral Quarter and surrounding area.
- Large closed loop traverse installed for scan control and topographical survey.
- Several buildings scanned fully to provide comprehensive 2D floor plans, elevations and sections.
- Several facades modelled in Revit on buildings of particular interest.
